Project management tools are nice and web based are better but if having a project management tool insured projects would suceed none would ever fail. PM tools alone aren't the answer to mitigating project risks, capturing and leveraging project knowledge from one project to the next, improving project successes, reducing rework, eliminating heroics (sometimes the only way a project gets done), improving project visibility to management, and improving ROI.
